Images are credited to and look like photographs by, e.g. Gibson or Sander, but are in fact anonymous snapshots. The ethnological photos from Africa were carefully stages in landscapes around home. The zoologist Dr. Ameisenhaufen (“Dr. ant heap”) is an invention of the photographer; his existence and remarkable research has, however, been “proved” by the camera. The realities represented in this exhibition are usually, and intentionally fake, and often not without homour. HCA.

Die Ausstellung Multitasking präsentiert internationale
zeitgenössische künstlerische Positionen, die die zentrale kulturelle
Praxis unserer Zeit – das synchrone Rezipieren und Handeln –
thematisieren. Die Bedeutung des Begriffs Multitasking ist kulturell
nur vage definiert und dennoch zeigt sich, dass Multitasking als
unausweichliche Folge der informatisierten und globalisierten
Kommunikations- und Arbeitswelt allgegenwärtig ist. Die Synchronität
des zeitgenössischen mediengestützten Alltags führt dazu, dass
Multitasking nahezu alle Lebensbereiche durchdringt und insbesondere
Wahrnehmung, Kommunikation und Interaktion beeinflusst.
