Text dt., engl. - Zwischen 1890-1895 begleitet der Photograph Georges Poulet den Bau der Eisenbahnlinie Aurora Argentina, die von Santa Fe tief ins Innere des noch unberührten amerikanischen Westens bis nach Tucuman nahe den Anden fährt. Es entstehen Cyanotypien von ca. 100 Motiven des Eisenbahnbaus, großer Landschaften und der einheimischen Bevölkerung mit dem hohen Anspruch einer technischen Dokumentation und sensibler künstlerischer Umsetzung. Eine bedeutende Dokumentation des Pioniergeistes des 19. Jahrhunderts. (Buchh. König, Köln, 07.2007).

Strongly focused on 20th century the author reviews some photographers - individually or in groups - and their work, and their historical-political context. Some names mentioned include: Alejandro Wolk, Grete Stern, Humberto Rivas, Annemarie Heinrich, Horacio Coppola and others). This book received the Premio Cámera Argentina de Publicaciones 1996.
Die Aufnahmen entstanden zwischen 1976 und 1984, u.a. im Himalaya und in den Anden. Die interessanten Schwarzweissphotographien sind leider nur mäßig gedruckt.
