Text engl. - Das Buch entstand zur gleichnamigen TV-Serie des Dokumentarfilmemachers Nicholas Barker im Auftrag der BBC. Thema ist der britische Autofahrer. Jeder Photographie wird ein Kommentar des Autobesitzers gegenübergestellt. Das Werk ist in verschiedene Kapitel eingeteilt: 1. „Looking at him looking at me“, women empowered by their cars; 2. „Over the moon with a cavalier“, company cars; 3. „Red lorry yellow lorry“, family cars; 4. „It gets you out of the house“, first cars; „She likes it hot“, aguing couples.
