27 of the photogravures are by Emerson, 25 by Bankart. The edition exists in one or two volumes versions, in various bindings, and the gravures were printed on a variety of papers. The plates, however, are tending to be uniform throughout. Total ordinary edition of 750 copies, in sub-editions of 500 and 250 copies each, with a further deluxe edition of 50 copies were produced.
