Text dt., engl. - In 2000 the photographer took a trip to the western Chinese province of Yunan to visit the last generation of Chinese with bound feet, called lotuslillies (lotus lilies), which was once regarded as particularly erotic. Not until 1949 was the century-old torture of foot-binding officially banned.
