Text engl. - Illustrated plates, tan buckram boards with gilt lettering on spine, gilt lettering and green and white picture of a pitcher stamped on upper panel, signed on the limitation page by Hunter. J.B. Kerfoot was an antiques photographer, illustrator and writer. The autochrome, invented by the Lumiere brothers, was one of the earliest forms of color photography, and among its best. Kerfoot's work here is a beautiful case in point. Henry Stiegel was a German immigrant to Lancaster County, Pa., who produced fine glassware for about 10 years in the colonial era.
