In an unusual layout this is a collection of loose leaves fit into a specially made slipcase, with two extra publications inside also: Iincluded is a pb. ill. 148 p. booklet containing the catalogue (all images of the collection shown in small size b&w reproductions), titled The Allan Chasanoff Photographic Collection. Compiled and researched by Maggie Olvey and Suzanne Williamson, plus a stapled ill. 25 p. brochure containing four essays and titled “An understanding” [by] Charles Traub, “An interview with Allan Chasanoff” [by] Vince Aletti and Anne W. Tucker, “The challenge of confusion” [by] Anne W. Tucker.
Other edition: Aperture issue no. 156, summer 1999. - In the essay on Batut’s work multiexposure portrait to gain a „type“ of people are mentioned as well as his early experiment on aerial photography with the help of kites. The istalled cameras were triggered by remote control.
