Text fr. Captions cz., fr., dt., engl. - „Hübsches Buch mit Josef Sudeks fotografischen Abbildungen von Prags baroker Architektur und Skulpturen, von Ladislav Sutnar ansprechend gestaltet. Sudek (1896 Kolin - 1976 Praha) war tschechischer Photograph von Weltruf, der die künstlerische Photografie des 20. Jahrhuderts mitgeprägt hat. Ladislav Sutnar (1897 Plzen/Pilsen/Tschechien - 1976 New York), war ein einflussreicher tschechischer Maler, Graphiker, Typograph, Designer, Architekt und Kunsttheoretiker. 1939 emigrierte Sutnar in die USA. Seit 1947 war er Professor am Prattt Institute in New York. In USA veröffentlichte er z. B. im Jahre 1960 "Visual Design in Action". Mit dem tschechischen Avantgarde Fotografen Jaromir Funke brachte er eins der berühmtesten Bücher der tschechischen fotografischen Avantgarde heraus - "Fotografie vidi povrch".
