Contains descriptions and summaries of Talbot’s correspondence with Jean-Baptiste Biot, David Brewster, John Frederick William Herschel, Antoine Claudet, etc. „In 1934, Matilda Talbot donated the larger portion of Talbot's archives to the Science Museum, including a group of about 300 of the most important letters that Talbot had received from scientists such as Sir John Herschel and Sir David Brewster. This volume contains a brief synopsis of each letter in this collection (which is now housed at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television in Bradford).“ (Publisher’s text).

On seven early Talbot photogenic drawings and other salted paper prints (“Bowood”, “Three vases”, “Lace”, “Ricardi secundi”, “Lord Byron’s handwriting”, “Persian newspaper”, and an unidentified art reproduction), in the collection of the Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek, rare book dept., Göttingen, Germany. The images probably came to Göttingen into the hands of a still unknown correspondent of Talbot.
